Excitement at The Gathering

The last week has been an interesting one! There are several things at The Gathering to be excited about. I want to highlight a few.

1. Last Sunday, we had record attendance at The Gathering. 677 people worshipped with us! That number is important. Why? Because it represents people, friends, coworkers, neighbors that are connecting with God through our ministry. Just this Sunday, many of you emailed me notes to let me know how much this Christmas Dismantled series means to you. I hope all of you will continue to make those invitations. It is the simplest way we can make an impact in the life of another. We know that makes parking and logistics a bit tricky as we grow but it is also a sign that the Spirit is moving in our church. The second site, coming in January, will help provide more space so keep inviting your friends to see what is happening at our church.

2. Christmas Eve is only a week and a half away. With a service early in the week and five on Christmas Eve, there will be plenty of space for you and your family. I hope you are making plans to worship with us and participate in our Christmas Eve offering (100% of which will go to missions). Note that the 2 & 11 pm services are at the Clayton site, which is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of parking is available in the library lot next door and the post office lot across the street.

3. Tonight at 6:30 pm at the Clayton site, there will be a meet & greet with Matt Fulmer, the new site pastor for Clayton. He and Matt Miofsky will be there to meet folks and talk a bit about the new site. We invite all who have committed to being part of the site or those just interested to attend.

4. The Gathering has been in the news a lot this past week. Check out our Facebook page to see the interviews and read the stories about our church.
