Where are you from?
I grew up in Barnhart, MO, but I haven’t really lived in the St. Louis area for 15 years. It’s good to be home again.
Who are the people in your life?
My wife, Beth, is amazing. My best friend for six years and counting.
Favorite thing about St. Louis?
The majority of my family is here. That’s pretty nifty.
Favorite movie quote?
You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders – The most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia” – but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line”! – Vizzini, from The Princess Bride.
What do you love about being on staff?
The best part about being on staff is that I’m surrounded by people who expect good things from me and who are willing to help me do good things in the name of Jesus. Conversely, it is a place where I can encourage others on the staff and help them be successful in whatever it is that God is calling them.
Most unexpected thing about The Gathering?
The Gathering is a viable and vibrant community of Jesus followers in a place where many “experts” said a church could not thrive. In your face, experts!
