“I Suck At Lent”
"I suck at Lent. It makes me want to give up Lent, for Lent... Which makes me wonder: What is the point of Lent in the first place?"
In God We Trust
Do you control your money, or does your money control you? Join us as we learn what Jesus said about money, and how we should take care of what we’ve been given.
Running Away
Jonah was a man who ran from God, but the further he went, the deeper he sank into confusion and desperation. When he finally stopped to turn around, he found that following God was easier than he expected. Join us as we stop running, start listening and begin learning more about God’s plan for each of us.
Don’t Under-Imagine
As humans, we have a tendency to under-imagine and sell ourselves short when God promises to do big things in our lives.
The Gift Of Christmas
On Epiphany Sunday we explore the ways Jesus can be revealed to us in the new year.
Resolutions
What will you resolve to do this New Year? Will it change you? Your family? Your community? Will it even last through the week? God has always called us to resolve to be agents of change. Without God and a foundation of prayer, your resolve to impact the world will fall just like any other New Year’s resolution.
Rethink Christmas
Christmas can be different by taking a step away from the excess and toward the incarnation. Spend less this Christmas and give more.
Food For Thought
Chew on this. Every day, we throw away 50,000 tons of food in this country. At the same time, 15% of households struggle with not having enough to eat. In the city of St. Louis, the need is even greater – 23% of the population is considered to be impoverished. Had enough? There is something we can do. The Bible talks about the reality of hunger and poverty, and gives us guidance to take action. Join us as we talk about our relationship to food and begin to make an impact on hunger in St. Louis.
