Jesus commanded his disciples, most of whom were from modest financial means, to serve the poor and those alienated by mainstream society. We are committed to living out our faith through the discipline of regular service and interaction with the poor and those alienated by society today.

Open your heart, lend a hand and get involved as we kick off a Summer of Service to benefit Kingdom House. From rocking babies to stocking shelves, together we can bring new life to the city.

Kingdom House Volunteer Opportunities

  • Administrative
  • Stock shelves at the Food Pantry
  • Tour the agency to learn more about poverty issues in St. Louis
  • Provide leadership on a Board Committee
  • Assist staff in the office by filing, answering phones, or organizing volunteers
  • Help with the staff appreciation luncheon

Kids

  • Play with kids at the Family Center, Monday-Friday, 9 am – 3 pm, children welcome.
  • Read with kids in the after-school program, Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm – 6 pm.
  • Godparent a pre-schooler program through personal time, gifts and prayer.
  • Coach a summer sports team or volunteer at summer camp
  • Rock babies at the daycare, Monday-Friday, 9 am – 3 pm
  • Help with the back to school event

Outdoor

  • Help at the Golf Tournament on July 12, players and volunteers
  • Work on building maintenance projects such as painting and simple repairs
