The Evening Service is BACK!!! // M-Note 3.10.23

This weekend, evening worship is back at The Gathering! Sunday,  March 12th The Gathering will have a Pop-up evening worship service at 6:30pm at Work & Leisure in Midtown St. Louis. These Pop-Up worship services will be happening monthly and are part of the preparation for a new site The Gathering intends to start in Midtown this fall.

As we shared during our OPEN initiative, The Gathering wants to continue to make space for new people and invest in younger generations living in St. Louis. Since the pandemic, we have been working on a vision to launch a new site in Midtown to reach people living in or near that area of the city. Because of OPEN, we were able to invest in a new pastor to lead this site, Madi Denton.

This spring and summer, the leadership team for the new site will host various events and monthly Pop-Up worship services to invite new people and to prepare for weekly worship in the fall. You will hear me talking more about this new project as the year goes on. But, I want to encourage all of you that are curious or supportive to come this Sunday night. You can find out more information online, sign up for the email list, or reach out to Madi to learn more. I hope all of us as a church will pray for the leadership team and Madi as we seek to continue to invite new people to follow Jesus.

This weekend, I will be continuing our series Who is Jesus? by talking about Jesus as the light of the world. I hope you will join me and bring someone along to check it out.

Peace,
Matt

P.S. If you didn’t hear, The Gathering will be celebrating Easter all together as one site on Easter morning, April 9th at Stifel Theatre downtown. The doors will open at 9:45am with incredible music from the Red and Black Brass Band with worship beginning at 10:30am. This will be an incredible morning of worship. Check out the details here, and share the word online or invite your family and friends to join us.
