Spring Forward in Faith // M-Note 3.29.25

It is an incredibly busy time here at The Gathering, and a lot of ways for you to take a step forward in your faith. The Easter season is all about new life and to experience something new in your life, you often have to try something you haven’t done before. Here are some ideas for what that next step could be for you.

1. If you are relatively new here at The Gathering or having been coming a while but have never done it – sign up for NEXT on Tuesday April 1 at Schlafly Bottleworks. It lasts an hour, we provide snacks and drinks, and it is a great way to learn more about the church and how you can get more connected. I will be there and I would love for you to join me. Check out the details and sign up here.
2. A new round of Wellness Groups are getting ready to start and no matter what you are going through right now, there is likely a group for you. There is a group for those going through career transitions, emotional intelligence, refreshing your marriage, and healing from faith trauma just to name a few. To check out the available groups and sign up, just click here.
3. Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter, is fast approaching and there are some really special worship opportunities. We will have an interactive worship experience on Maundy Thursday, April 17, 5-7pm, to remember the events of the upper room and the last meal that Jesus shared with his disciples. We will worship together at The Gathering McCausland on Good Friday, April 18, at 7pm, as we remember Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross.
4. EASTER is almost here! All sites of The Gathering will come together to worship at The Factory in Chesterfield at 9 and 10:45am. Easter is an incredibly inspiring and hopeful service, and it is a lot of fun here at The Gathering. It is also a time when so many of you came to The Gathering for the first time. I have a favor...please start inviting people you know that might really need something new in their life. All of us have friends or coworkers that we think might really love our church. Easter is the perfect time to invite them. So, make your own plans to be with us on Easter and make sure to start offering those invitations now.

This weekend, I will be back preaching about disappointment and what to do when people in our life let us down. There is so much happening, and thank you to all of you that are invested in our church and growing in your own faith. Have a great weekend, and I can’t wait to see you Sunday.

Peace,

Matt

P.S. This Sunday afternoon, Pastor Morgan and I will be hosting an interest session for our new Metro East site of The Gathering. If you live in Illinois, please join us to learn more. You can also invite anyone you think might be interested. You can learn more about the details and let us know you are coming here.
