CoreGroup Discussion Guide | October 12, 2025
by Sarah Hines on October 10th, 2025
WelcomeLast week, Matt recounted how our church has grown over the past 19 years, and the gratitude we have for our church community. In CoreGroups, we discussed Luke's parable of the talents which reminds us that, to those who are given much, much is expected. Keeping in mind our gratitude for what God provides in our lives, we pivot this week to focus on what God can do in us to make us more gen...  Read More

Gathering Underground // M-Note 10.11.2025

Addiction touches nearly every one of us. For some, it’s a personal battle—alcohol, drugs, gambling, or something else that quietly takes hold of our lives. For others, it’s the pain of watching a spouse, child, parent, or friend struggle. Addiction can affect nearly all aspects of our lives - our work, our relationships, our finances, our emotional and physical health. It often leads to isolation...  Read More

From everyone who has been given much, even more will be expected. It can be easy to look at someone else’s life and see all the blessings they could be using to make a difference. But, what if we are the ones God is trusting to make an impact through the gifts we have been given? God has big plans for our community, and this series is all about figuring out how we can be a part of them.  Read More

by Matt Miofsky on October 3rd, 2025
There is an Old Testament Proverb that says: Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29.18) The idea is simple, when people do not know where they are going, what they’re aiming for, what their values are, or the goals they are trying to reach – then confusion follows. People without a sense of vision do not become who God wants them to become. This is true in all areas of our life. ...  Read More

Welcome to our third and last discussion of The Lord’s Prayer. To begin our series we focused on the first line of the prayer. With the words “Our Father,” Jesus invites us to see our relationship with God as intimate and comfortable while maintaining a reverence for his great position and power. Last week we considered what we should pray for. We were encouraged to make God’s will (his kingdom) a priority before we offer up our own petitions of needs and wants. In this final session we explore two essential concepts of faith – forgiveness and evil.  Read More

Still Relevant 2000+ Years Later // M-Note 9.27.2025
by Matt Miofsky on September 26th, 2025
This past week, a video circulated showing the Secretary of Defense of the United States praying the Lord’s Prayer over a polished montage of military weapons and soldiers. It culminated with the closing words of the prayer over a U.S. flag. As I watched it, I thought to myself, “I wonder if this is what Jesus envisioned when he taught his followers this prayer 2000 years ago?” Of course, this isn...  Read More
