The Most Important Sunday of the Year // M-Note 3.17.23

Easter is the summit and source of our faith. We believe that Jesus is alive and is therefore at work in our life to help us, guide us, forgive us, and save us. This is good news, and on Easter Sunday, we want as many people to hear that good news as possible. There are so many people we know that are looking for forgiveness, strength for seasons of struggle, new direction in life, and most of all – hope! That is why Easter is the most important worship service of the year, and that's why we celebrate it in a big way here at The Gathering.

This Easter (April 9th), all The Gathering’s sites will come together to celebrate one Easter worship service at Stifel Theatre in downtown St. Louis. If you have never been to one of our services at Stifel, you will not want to miss it. The doors will open at 9:45am with the Red and Black Brass Band playing. Worship will begin at 10:30am, and there will be a dedicated ministry for kids 0-5 years old. The music is inspirational, the worship is powerful, and the message will be full of hope in a time when so many of us need it. We also will have a lot of fun. There will be opportunities for pictures, a beautiful space for worship, a chance to see people you haven’t seen in a while, plenty of parking with golf carts to give you a ride to the front door, and most of all 3200 seats! That means there is plenty of room for us to invite our friends, family, coworkers, and anyone we know that might need a message of hope this time of year.

A huge celebration also means a lot of opportunities to serve. Easter morning is a time for hundreds of volunteers to help us make space for new people. Serving that morning is powerful and meaningful so we would love you to serve. Check out the opportunities and sign up to serve online. Also, please share the news of the Easter service online.  We will also be streaming the service online, but if you are local, this is a great chance to join us in person. I can’t wait to celebrate Easter with all of you.

Peace,
Matt
