How did you find The Gathering? Tell us the story in all it’s glorious detail!
And if you were starting a church what would you name it?

Quick Overview of Podcast

Read aloud:
Matthew 28:16-20
“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

Discussion questions:
  1. What words or phrases from this passage stick out to you?
  2. The Gathering’s vision is to create a Christian community that is compelling for new generations of people in St. Louis. What about this vision stands out or connects with you?
  3. Our five shared practices are worship, prayer, serving, giving, and learning in small groups. Which of the practices do you feel strong in? Which one is an area for potential growth for you?

Prayer time:
Often when we ask for prayer requests in a setting like this we all default to bringing our concerns for others. This is a good practice, but it also allows us to avoid thinking about how our group can pray for us specifically. It can be something big or something small, but we want to share our celebrations and concerns for ourselves in this group.

So, how can we pray for you this week?
